TWINTAIL UPLOADER Support Page

Overview

TWINTAIL UPLOADER is a simple file upload script intended for use on bulletin boards or chat services.
It is based on the Yakuba Souko PHP uploader that was released at Kakurezato Village Office.
Its lineage traces back to the uploader scripts such as Let's PHP!'s PHP Uploader, as well as Zurubon Uploader, which ultimately originate from Yuichat's Yui Note.

Notes

• This script requires PHP8 or newer.
• Thumbnail generation for videos requires ffmpeg.
  If ffmpeg is not installed, video thumbnails will not be generated.

• The following php.ini settings may affect upload limits (default is usually around 2MB):
  “upload_max_filesize”, “post_max_size”, “memory_limit”, “max_execution_time”
• The following php.ini settings may affect the upload process itself:
  “file_uploads”, “upload_tmp_dir”
• The data/ directory stores internal files such as logs.
  On Apache systems access is restricted by the included .htaccess file.
  For nginx or other servers you must configure access restrictions yourself.

Download

• Latest version (2026-07-07)
• GitHub (development version / source)

If you download the software from GitHub, development directories (user/ and おまけ/) will be included.
Remove these directories before setting up.

Installation

1. Extract the distributed archive.
2. Upload the files to your server.
3. Edit config.php if necessary. Configuration options are documented in the file comments.

The default main script filename is warota.php.
If you rename it, update the mainScript setting in config.php accordingly.
